Adverts

Virgin Media Shorts - Butterface.

This was better second-time round, but it still isn't great.

Vrigin Mel B

This is still annoying.

Advert for Scotland

Volksgwagen “The Fight”

This is very well made but still does not make me want to buy a car or learn to drive.

Coca Cola “Happiness Factory”

It still does not beat the now iconic Christmas advert.

Advert for Yorkshire

I live there and know its rubbish and this advert does not need to remind me.

Magnum Temptation

Someone actually laughed at this. Shame on them.

Lynx Fever

They also laughed at this. The only thing I can say on it is that it has that irritating song from Beetlejuice in it.

Peroni

This time I noticed the Alfa Romeo insignia in it. When an advert advertises something else it is a disgrace for both products.

Volkswagen Support Independent Cinema advert – E.T

This woman’s voice makes me want to punch something.

European Elections advert

Oh dear.

Trailers

Sounds like Teen Spirit

Music documentaries are extremely hit and miss and in all honesty, this looks like one that will miss. However it seems like it will do well at the box office because people love cute-looking films with kids in.

Anything for Her

This looks like it has potential but I feel like the narrative will drift into a place it does not belong. The trailer however does look well made and I’m sure that most middle-aged cinema-goers will turn out to see it. Much like they did with Notes on a Scandal last year.

Virgin Media Short -
Butterface.

This short wasn't too bad considering the other Virgin Media Shorts I've seen are awful. I appreciated the way in which the majority of the piece was a single static shot, however I was disappointed when it cut away and also by the fact it seemed to have been shot on one of the cheapest looking cameras I've ever seen.

Virgin Mel B Advert

An embarrassing attempt at making television packages seem hip and comical.

Advert for Scotland

Adverts for places are as irritating as each other.

Ford Kuga

I liked the city made of paper concept, it's just a shame it was wasted on advertising a car.

Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Macadamia

Their advertising campaign is utterly stupid.

Vauxhall Insignia

I actually thought this a film trailer when I saw it. For a car advert though it's really well made, if perhaps ridiculously over-the-top.

Peroni

Beer adverts are always rubbish and this is no exception.

ITV2

I will never watch this channel thanks to this advert.

Honda Insight

I actually really like the Honda adverts. I think they have a good eye for how the make something stand out.

Jack Daniels

I liked this advert the first time I saw it but now all I do is stare at the fat guy's freakishly red mushroom nose.

Orange advert with Emilio Estevez

I still say they should have made that Dennis Hopper one with Blue Velvet references rather than Speed ones.

Trailers

Away Days

I hate football and I hate football violence films so I definitely won't be seeing this.

Red Cliff

The new John Woo film looks well made. The only problem is that it looks like it might be a but heavy-going in terms of big, spectacular war scenes. I did enjoy the fact that the trailer has no dialogue in it.
